Crossing the line while allegedly making comments against a community had cost a high time for the father of a Chief Minister as he was arrested and sent to judicial custody, News Agency ANI said in a tweet.

Going into details, Nand Kumar Baghel, father of serving Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had reportedly made derogatory comments against the Brahmin Community. He was arrested by the Raipur Police on Tuesday over his alleged comments against the Brahmins.

While sending him to 15-day judicial custody, the Court said the next hearing in the case will be heard on the 21st of September. His lawyer didn't apply for bail in this case.

Reports say that earlier he referred Brahmins to foreigners. He reportedly claimed that they should get reformed. Based on the complaint registered by the Brahmins, the Chief Minister's father was arrested. The complainants cited that such complaints will create tension in society.

Bhupesh Baghel took to Twitter to share his opinion on the issue. In a tweet made in Hindi, the Chief Minister said, his views on the issue are quite different as a Chief Minister and a Son. However, he said that no one is above the law.
