The Congress Chief elections are going t be interesting. The Gandhi family reportedly kept their distance from the polls and this will give a chance for the non-Gandhi family members to lead the party which has a rich history behind it. Despite requests, Rahul Gandhi decided to not run the polls reportedly.

If everything goes well, we might see Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Shashi Tharoor competing with each other. Though Gehlot's name is yet to be announced officially, the Chief Minister is hinting that he might try his luck in the upcoming polls.

Ashok Gehlot said, if the leadership wants him to run the polls he would do so. He also addressed the debate on whether he would leave the Chef Minister post if he becomes the chief of the party.

Saying that the party allows the representatives to hold three positions, Ashok Gehlot said he will hold the positions of Chief Minister and chief of the pastry at the same time if needed.

Ashok Gehlot was forced to clear the airs on him leaving the Chief Minister as it has been widely reported that another senior Congress leader from the state Sachin Pilot might replace him as the Chief Minister if Ashok Gehlot wins as the Chief of the Congress.

Besides running the polls, Ashok Gehlot is also making sure that, he will not leave the CM post and he is clearing all the airs. Calling himself as a worthy candidate who was made the Chief Minister, Gehlot is also indirectly saying that he would hold both posts of given a chance.
