Can Supreme Court Put An End to Hijab Controversy?

The hijab row is a big and sensitive issue we have seen in recent times. Though the issue started in Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Karnataka, it got spread to other states as well. A few Muslim bodies stood in solidarity with the protesting students who were denied permission into educational institutions with hijabs.
The Karnataka High Court saying hijab is not mandatory to follow Islam added fuel to the controversy and protests were held in various parts of the country. A bunch of students had to miss their exams after the college administration said they cannot permit hijab inside the institution.
Yet again, the issue reached the Supreme Cout and the Apex Court assured that a bench would be constituted to hear the petitions in connection with the hijab row. Earlier today, a bench of the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice N.V. Ramana said that a new bench would hear the issue.
Talking about the delay, the bench which also comprises Justices Krishna Murari and Hima Kohli told the counsel who represented a petitioner that one of the judges was not well and that's why it took some time in the row.
As the ball is in the court of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice informing about forming a new bench to look into the issue, everyone is hopeful that the issue will be addressed and sorted out at the earliest. If a few days, we would get clarity on whether Supreme Court can put an end to the Hijab controversy.
