NDA Government ruled out any possibility of according Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh once again.

In a written reply to YCP MP Balli Durga Prasad, Union Minister of State for Home Nityananda Rai made it clear there is no question of granting Special Category Status after offering Special Package. He maintained, 'Special Category Status is a closed chapter and focus is now on other assurances of AP Organisation Act 2014. We will try to address the inter-state issues between AP and Telangana'.

Soon after becoming CM of AP, YS Jaganmohan Reddy expressed disappointment over NDA obtaining 300-plus MP Seats in Lok Sabha Polls as it ruled out any possibility of Centre according Special Status to the state. He, however, claimed to be keen to request Centre repeatedly for Special Status.

What would be the stand of YS Jagan after the latest clarification from the Centre? Will YCP Govt dares to go against the Union Government? or Waits for the right time to make Modi accept the long-pending demand? Wait & See!
