While the amount will be released from the state funds, the District Authorities will take care of the activities to see that the ex gratia reaches the concerned family members.

The union government told the Apex Court that the family members of the victims, who lost their lives due to Covid would be given compensation for the next phases as well. The compensation will be continued until further notice by the Centre, the government said.

To avail the ex gratia, the family members have to apply for the same using the dedicated forms. Along with the forms, the applicants have to attach the certificate by a doctor that says the reason for the death is Covid.
