Cigarette smoker jailed in Hyderabad

LB Nagar Metropolitan Magistrate sentenced to three days in jail to Bala Deepak for smoking cigarette in public place.
On Wednesday night Bala Deepak was smoking Cigarette, Patrolling police received a complaint and arrested Bala Deepak for smoking cigarette in public place. Three times in the past Court fined Rs 50 for smoking and this is the first time cigarette smoker has been jailed.
As per the prohibition of smoking in public places act, a fine of 1000 is imposed. In Hyderabad, Hyderabad police are imposing fine of around 500 to 1000 based on the place and public.
