Noted Bollywood comedian Bharti Singh who shot to fame with Great Indian laughter challenge and the ongoing The Kapil Sharma show has moved the Punjab High Court and Haryana High Court to scrap the FIR which was registered against her along with Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan for reportedly hurting the religious sentiments in a TV show.

Going back into details, the trio has appeared in a TV show during Christmas and they allegedly made some comments hurting against the Christian belief. Following this, Sonu Jafar, President of the Christian Front Ajnala Block has registered a complaint.

Abhinav, Ms. Singh's counsel said that the petition filed on her will come for hearing on January 27. In her petition, she requested to quash the FIR registered on him and to issue a stay on the Punjab Police Investigation.



Following the complaint of the Sonu Jafar, the trio was booked by the Amristar Police in December.

Earlier, the High Court has prevented the Punjab Police from taking any "coercive steps" against Raveena and Farah until March 25 as they have filed a plea.
