As a development that no one would have expected, a tense situation erupted at Secunderabad. The violence caused by the Agnipath Army recruitment scheme gave birth to violent protests in the city. Secunderabad Railway station suffered a massive attack as the protestors showed their anger at the trains and station.
The protest went to a point where the protestors turned uncontrollable. With no option left, the cops who reached the spot used firing. Before that, they urged the protestors to calm down. With no positive response, the cops were forced to use firing, which brought the situation under control. The protestors fled the place in fear.
After the firing, there is a lot of confusion about the casualties triggered by the gun firing. To clear the air, the police department spoke to the media to provide details about the casualties and victims triggered by the gun firing at the railway station in Secunderabad.
A leading media outlet quoted a few Police personnel as saying that one person lost his life, who was identified as Rakesh, who hails from Warangal. He is a degree student and wants to join the army like his sister who is a BSF officer.
Around a dozen youths who took part in the protest sustained injuries and were shifted to the state-run Gandhi hospital for treatment. The injured victims are reportedly identified as Rangaswamy, Rakesh, Srikanth, Kumar, Parasuram, Mohan, Nagendra Babu, Vinay, and Mahesh.
