Covid-hit Sharmila's Party Is In Sleep Mode

Covid it appears is taking its toll on US Sharmila's to âbe âborn party. With several workers testing positive for Covid, the Lotus Pond office of the party has been shut down. The Lotus Pond, which till recently was a beehive of activity what with political leaders queuing up to meet YS Sharmila, is wearing a deserted look these days.
For the past one month, everything is silent on YS Sharmila's front. Nothing is known about when Sharmila will formally announce the formation of her party. The party was to be launched on July 9. But, now with several leaders testing covid positive, the whole thing is in jeopardy. The party activities are now limited to twitter comments. The party's decisions and actions are now announced via twitter.
Worse still, the party's much touted free helpline too is not functioning. The party had set up a helpline to the women in distress due to Covid. The phone number 040-4821326, when dialled simply says that our team members will get in touch with the caller. The call never comes. Thus the call centre helpline too is non-functional.
