Covid vaccination slot can now be booked on PayTm, MakeMyTrip and other apps

The union government has launched Cowin and Aarogya Sethu apps to book a slot to get the vaccine doses. However, people find it a big task to book a slot in the two apps. As a piece of good news, the Centre made a few more options available to book a slot.
Beneficiaries can now book Covid vaccine slots on PayTm, MakeMyTrip, Apollo Hospitals, ICICI Lombard, Max Healthcare, Dr. Reddy’s, Infosys, Shivam E-Commerce, Synergic Info, and others.
To see that people won't face any issues in booking slots, the Centre gave its nod to 91 apps in this regard. The approved apps include 81 private apps and 10 apps owned by the government. The permission was given earlier last month.
On Monday, Paytm in a statement said that users can search for the nearby center and book a slot for the vaccine. This facility will help Indians in fighting the ongoing pandemic, Paytm said.
The nationwide vaccination drive was started in India earlier in January this year. As per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry, a total of 26,19,72,014 vaccines have been administered so far to the beneficiaries.
