Several District Congress Committee chiefs are said to be deeply unhappy with the latest membership drive in the party in Telangana. These leaders are said to be worried that the new membership, which has to be digitally done could spell the end of their domination within the party. Hence they are said to be planning to take up the issue with the state party leadership.

Most DCC chiefs feel that they may not have any control over the digital membership and that their supporters may be outnumbered and this could spell doom for their political future in the party. TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is insisting on digital membership as this could bring some credibility and accountability to the party. But the DCC chiefs feel that they would lose their pre-eminence in the district.

In the recent meeting of the DCC chiefs in Gandhibhavan, the DCC chiefs complained that Revanth was adamant on the issue. Several of them have said that he is not accessible to them. Interestingly, a majority of the DCC chiefs had supported Revanth Reddy's appointment as the PCC chief. Now, many of them are ruing their support to Revanth.

The Karimnagar DCC is deeply upset over Revanth Reddy's unilateral appointment of Vijayaramana Rao as the party candidate from Peddapalli assembly constituency. Even former minister Duddilla Sridhar Rao is opposed to this announcement. The leaders from Karimnagar reportedly grilled Revanth Reddy for his unilateral decision. If the same trend continues, more and more DCC chiefs could open up against Revanth Reddy, say sources.
