Even as the Telangana BJP is battling with itself over state president Bandi Sanjay's working style, the BJP national leadership has asked the T BJP to conduct an election campaign among the Telugu voters in the upcoming Karnataka elections. Party's national vice-president and Karnataka affairs incharge D Aruna has been made the incharge of the campaign.

The party workers from Telangana will camp in various parts of Karnataka that have Telugu population. These workers will mainly campaign in Bellari, Kolar and Bengaluru. They will conduct a house-to-house campaign and hold street-corner meetings. The campaign will be focused and intensive, says a party source.

DK Aruna has been chosen because her constituency borders Karnataka and she has deep connections with the people of Karnataka. Also, she was party affairs incharge for the state of Karnataka and knows the state like the palm of the hand. State party president Bandi Sanjay too would tour Karnataka as per the party's national leadership's direction.

The BJP workers from the state have in the past campaigned in states like Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra and even Delhi, which has sizeable Telugu population. This will also help the party workers in understanding election dynamics and campaign strategies. The teams would soon leave for Karnataka, according to party sources.
