The NTR Health University name change controversy is the much-talked-about controversy in Andhra Pradesh now. Though the Telugu Desam Party leaders protested against this, the ruling party went ahead with the decision and passed the bill given the super majority the YSRCP enjoys in the Assembly House.
Hours after the decision, the demand to reverse the decision is getting momentum. TDP Rebel MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi who respects NTR a lot has requested the Chief Minister to reverse the decision and changing the name after YSR would not give a good message. Taking to Twitter he placed the request.
Vamsi placed his demand hours after Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission Chairman Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad stepped from his position. The two people associated with the YSRCP directly or indirectly said that the decision should be reversed.
Former Cabinet Minister Kodali Nani might also place the same demand given his devotion towards TDP founder NTR. He might have also felt the same as Kodali Nani always projects himself as a big fan of late NTR.
It is confirmed that the demand to reverse the name is getting momentum. A few members from the same community are expected to raise the same demand before the Andhra Pradesh government.
But the question here is will Jagan listen to this demand and take it seriously? Political experts dub Jagan as someone who stays strong on the decision he takes. So the chances of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister taking a back step are very few. We have to wait and see what happens next as anything can happen in politics.
