Dhoni - Still The Best: Chief Selector MSK

Mahendra Singh Dhoni faced criticism during the recent World Cup for failing to accelerate at the right time. Many People were of the feeling that India could have been in the final had if Dhoni didn't delay the acceleration till the 49th Over in the Semi Final against New Zealand. No retirement announcement from MSD post the World Cup came as a big surprise. Haters even predicted Selectors will sack Dhoni if he doesn't retire at the earliest. However, There seems to be no scope for such a development and Mr.Cool will be permitted to play as long as he can.

Chief Selector MSK Prasad declared Dhoni is still the Best Keeper and Best Finisher for India: 'Although we are testing other Wicket Keepers, The strength of Team India will be at an another level if Dhoni is in the team. He still have the calibre to excel as a Batsman and Wicketkeeper. I have clarity when it comes to Dhoni. He isn't only the best kepper but also a best finisher. He is still the best in limited overs cricket. His experience when it comes to assisting the captain in crucial phases is priceless. Partnership of Dhoni & Jadeja in the World Cup Semi Final is a miracle. They stabilised the innings and brought us close to victory after the top order collapse. Dhoni guided Jadeja in the right path. Unfortunately, We couldn't finish the game'.

Dhoni is far better than Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant in the Wicketkeeper-cum-Batsman Role but he mayn't play for more than 2 years. While Rishabh Pant need to learn from his mistakes, Dinesh Karthik has to get into the shoes of Dhoni as best finisher. Or else, India will miss Dhoni badly post his retirement.
