Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli losing ODI captaincy and leaving Test captaincy gave birth to a new debate that things are not going well between him and Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly. Virat Kohli's explosive press meet is dubbed as the main reason behind the infamous saga between Virat and Ganguly.

Media reports also claimed that unhappy with what happened Sourav Ganguly is reportedly gearing up to slap Virat Kohli with a show cause as things turned chaotic as far as Indian cricket is concerned. These reports took everyone by surprise as no skipper was served show-cause notice in the history of the game.

As the reports are being spread in social media and mainstream media as well, Sourav Ganguly reacted to the same. Putting a full stop to these reports, Sourav Ganguly said that there is no truth in the reports and termed as false and untrue.

Speaking to news agency Asian News International(ANI) on the same, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly termed the news false and said that there is no truth in the reports that he is in plans to serve a show-cause notice to Virat Kohli. The ANI quoted Sourav Ganguly aka Dada as saying the same.

The captaincy saga involving Virat Kohli created a storm in Indian cricket. It all started with BCCI removing Virat Kohli as the ODI captain after he left the T20 captaincy. Despite Virat Kohli in his statement saying that he wants to focus on the ODI format, the cricket governing body in India BCCI sacked him as the skipper.

Reacting to the same, the BCCI said that the selectors asked Virat Kohli to not leave the T20 captaincy but he did not listen. As having different captains for the white-ball cricket will not be good, BCCi removed Virat Kohli as ODI skipper and made Hitman Rohit Sharma a full-time white-ball skipper.

However, Virat Kohli had deferred to the BCCI and selectors and said that he was not informed before on this, and just right before the team was selected he was informed on the same day when the team that tours South Africa was finalised.
