Apart from treating the Covid-19 patients, the doctors in India are now getting busy making people understand that fake and unscientific theories will not help them curing the virus, and instead they are keeping their health at risk.
Recently, a group of people in Gujarat have started visiting the cow shelters weekly once and applying cow dung to their bodies with a belief that cow dung will save them from the deadly virus.
Reacting to the bizarre incident, the doctors are appealing to people to not do such things saying that there is no theory to prove that applying cow dung will keep them distance from the respiratory disease.
The News Agency Reuters shared the video of a group of men applying cow dung and urine on their bodies and practicing yoga at the cow shelters. Quoting the doctors as saying, the news agency said, there is no scientific evidence to prove the belief.
"Doctors in India are warning against the practice of using cow dung in the belief it will ward off COVID-19, saying there is no scientific evidence for its effectiveness and that it risks spreading other diseases," Reuters said in a tweet.
