Don't Use My Name: Star Hero Stuns Sumalatha

Speculations were abuzz that Kannada Star Puneeth Rajkumar is backing the candidature of Sumalatha and he would campaign for her victory in Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency. Producer Rockline Venkatesh announced Puneeth Rajkumar is one of the Kannada Film Industry Celebrities extending support to Sumalatha who is contesting as an Independent.
On Thursday, Puneeth Rajkumar issued a statement to clarify he isn't involved in politics. He claims to be the one who is passionate about art not politics. 'I just asked the people of Karnataka to exercise their right to vote. Never did I appeal them to vote for any particular candidate or party. I'm close to both Deva Gowda and Ambareesh Family. Will pray to god to give you strength to serve the people. Please don't use my name in politics or in election campaigning,' says the Actor.
Heroes Yash and Darshan have decided to endorse Sumalatha's candidature inspite of the political pressures. Sympathy Wave and the clean image she have could work in favour of Sumalatha. Not to forget that she is up against Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy's Son Nikhil Gowda.
