The term of Pranab Mukherjee as the President of India is going to end on July 25th, 2017. So, BJP and Congress have already begun their plans to find a suitable replacement.
Until recently, Names of LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj and Sumitra Mahajan began doing rounds. But now, Draupadi Murmu emerged as the front-runner for the top post.
Draupadi Murmu created history by becoming the first woman to be Jharkhand Government. Being a tribal woman is going to be a huge advantage for her.
On the other hand, AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi has been uniting all the anti-Modi forces in the country for the victory of Congress Nominee. She already held talks with Mamata Banerjee, Nitish Kumar, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav and MK Stalin.
