The ongoing Amaravati protest is hitting the headlines due to various reasons. From the ruling party opposing the Yatra to former Ministers extending their support of the protesting farmers, various reasons are increasing the political heat. When the Yatra was started, former Ministers supported the farmers and extended their support.

Former Union Minister Renuka Chowdary was among the leaders who supported them. This did not go well with the ruling party. The ruling party leaders took strong objection to a leader from a neighboring state supporting Amaravati farmers who are fighting for the capital region.

Breathing fire on Renuka Chowdary, firebrand leader Kodali Nani said how can a person who cannot even win as a Corporator can poke her nose into Andhra Pradesh politics. He made these comments in the Assembly house in the ongoing sessions.

Days after Kodali Nani made explosive comments against her, Renuka Chowdary reacted to the issue and lashed out at Kodali Nani. The former Minister said, bujji Kodali Nani knows nothing about her and he should come to Khammam to know about her.

Not happy with Kodali Nani's comments, Renuka Chowdary threw a big challenge that she will contest against Kodali Nani in Gudivada. With full confidence, she said that and asked Kodali Nani if he is ok with the dare.

What the former Lok Sabha said is not a small thing. She has been focusing on the Telangana region for the past few decades and it is not going to be easy for her to contest the MLA elections against Kodali Nani, who is a strong leader in the region.

If she really sticks to her statement and tries her luck as the MLA, then it will mark her maiden MLA elections. She has been running the elections as MP. Her political career started with the Telugu Desam Party and served as a Rajya Sabha member. Later she shifted her loyalties to grand old Congress

After turning into Congress leader, Renuka Chowdary has been serving as a Lok Sabha member from Khammam. She earlier served as Union minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
