The recent GO released by the Andhra Pradesh on the Pay Revision Commission(PRC) issue made many heads turn as the employees and association who have been fighting for their demands were not happy with this. Bringing the issue to the starting point, the employees have been openly raising severe objections to the PRC.

Unhappy with the recommendations of the PRC, the employees' associations are fuming at the government. To provide more information on how the PRC will affect them, the representatives of the associations held a press meet.

The Andhra Pradesh government employees JAC members lashed out at the government over the issue. Expressing their concerns on reducing the HRA from 30 percent to 16 percent, the association leaders are terming this as a betrayal by the state government.

We are opposing the PRC recommendations. We don't want these recommendations. In the history of Andhra Pradesh, there was no instance of giving fitment lesser than IR. The government should take back the PRC or else we have to take the protest path for one more time, the JAC leaders said.

As a further course of action, the JAC leaders said, the Pensioners, Employee Unions, and teachers unions will also take part in the protest against the PRC, and to show their support for the protest, they will wear black badges.

Slamming the PRC recommendations the Joint Action Committee(JAC) leaders said they are opposing this and they became critical of the government for removing the benefits that were granted by the previous government.

Citing the recent report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India(CAG) on the Andhra Pradesh situation that says the state is doing well, the employees are demanding their rights.

The representatives of the Employees associations made it clear that they will protest against the PRC issues and their fight will not stop until the recommendations were taken back by the government.

The GO issued by the government says that the HRA has been reduced and based on the locality, the government will implement the HRA. The revisions in the pay scale for the employees will be done once every ten years.
