PRC Issue: Employees to take the strike path soon

The Andhra Pradesh state employees who are against the PRC announced by the government recently called for a key meeting today. The meeting was concluded just a while ago and various issues are said to have come during the key meeting held by the representatives. How to go ahead with the protest was also discussed during the meeting.



Showing no intention of taking a back step, the employees have decided to hit the roads to protest against the PRC issue. Going ahead in the protest, the employees had made a schedule for their protest to plan how to intensify their fight in this matter.

The protest might start either on the 7th or 8th of next month. On the 3d of next month, the employees gave a call for Chalo Vijayawada. Under the same, the employees will protest against the PRC recommendations in the temple city Vijayawada next month. As a bid to protest, the employees have decided to surround the Collectorates in all the districts across the state, several media outlets quoting the employees as saying reported.

The protests called by the employees are getting support from other associations as well. The teachers working in state-run schools have joined the force and actively took part in the protest. The other day, the teachers raised their voices against the PRC and hit the road to protest against it, reports said.

Looking at the schedule of the employees, round table meetings will be held in all the district headquarters on the 23rd of this month. Rallies and protests will be held in the headquarters on 25th January.

A day later, the employees' associations will reach the Ambedkar statues in the district headquarters on 26th January and seek his blessings for the protest by submitting the memorandums. Relay protests will be held for four days in the state.

Intensifying the protests, the employees gave a call for Chalo Vijayawada on 3d of February and from the 5th of next month, the employees will not take part in their duties. As the next step in the protest, the strike might start from the 7th or 8th of next month. The employees might issue strike notices to the Chief Secretary.
