As a bid to improve the education standards and the English speaking skills of the students, the Andhra Pradesh government had earlier made English as the medium of instruction in the schools.

To complement the same, the schools across the state are being renovated and the government has also launched schemes to attract more registrations of students at the state run schools.

Talking about the same, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, the main goal behind taking these measures is to make education available for all the sections.

Saying that the quality of education is getting improved gradually, CM Jagan said as a bid to help the students improve their English skills, English films will be played in the schools.

The Chief Minister said, the government is renovating the schools and providing all the equipment to improve the standards of the school. This is expected to make the parents choose government schools over private ones for education.

The government had launched a flagship scheme Nadu-Nedu that aims at renovating and repairing the old schools. Under the same several schools were already renovated while the rest of them are also expected to undergo renovation soon.

The Andhra Pradesh government had launched the second phase of the Nadu-Nedu scheme on Monday on the occasion of the reopening of the schools.
