Huzurnagar effect: Dissidents Fall Silent
X
The stunning victory in Huzurnagar bypoll has the unlikeliest of the effects. While it silenced the Congress and the other Opposition parties, it has also silenced the dissidents within the ruling TRS. All those dissidents, who were waiting for the Huzurnagar bypoll results to be out so that they can openly challenge KCR, have also been shocked into silence. They have all decided to lie low for now. With the kind of the majority that the TRS candidate got, it is now clear that the KCR is the unchallenged boss in the TRS for now.

In fact, dissidents like Etela Rajender, who are deeply unhappy with KCR and his ways, and Bodhan's MLA Mohammad Shakil Amir have now decided to remain silent. They are now busy trying to mend fences with the TRS boss. Etela had once famously said that he too is an owner of the TRS and that he too has rights over the party. Shakil had in fact met Nizamabad BJP MP Dharmapuri Aravind and tried to join the BJP. There were several other TRS leaders, who were unhappy with the dominance of KCR and were waiting to attack him if the Huzurnagar result went the other way. This could have assumed the proportions of a revolt in the TRS.

Unfortunately for them, the TRS had got such a deafening dhamaka of victory that all these dissidents have completely fallen silent. So, it's advantage KCR now.
