Etela's supports hold sit-in protest on Highway, to show solidarity with him

After the farmers in Achampet and Hakimpet have complained against Etela Rajender about land grabbing, Telangana Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to launch a probe into the allegations.
However, this did not sit well with the supporters of Etela Rajender. As a bid to express their support to Etela, his supporters have called for a protest on Saturday.
Showing solidarity with Etela, his supporters staged a sit-in protest on Saturday on the highway near the Shameerpet. The protest has led to a tense situation at the city outskirts.
With the protestors creating a traffic jam on the highway, the cops stepped in and took the protestors into their custody, and sent them to the Police Station in their vehicles.
The protestors found fault with the allegations and alleged that the episode was part of a conspiracy to malign the character and image of Etela Rajender.
Earlier, media reports claimed that his followers are in the view to call for a protest in support of him. Reacting to this, he urged his supporters to not do such things and the Covid-19 fear still exists.
After Etela Rajender's medical, health, and family welfare portfolio was allotted to CM KCR, police personnel were deployed in big numbers in his Assembly constituency and his native village as a precautionary step.
Speaking to the media after he was pulled out of the Cabinet, Etela Rajender said, he is not worried about this and even dared a Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) inquiry into the allegations.
Earlier, he said, if the investigation proves him guilty of the land grabbing of assigned lands, he will step down from his position. He said, his life is an open book.
