Even Heritage Malls Were Open During The Tdp Bandh

How successful was the Wednesday bandh call given by the Opposition TDP on the issue of attacks on the TDP offices and the arrest of TDP spokesperson Pattabhi? Despite the TDP claims, the bandh was literally non-existent. The shops and government institutions functioned normally. It was business as usual in most places.

The YSRCP government did very well to confine most TDP leaders to their residences. The police trooped in even before dawn and prevented the leaders from getting onto the roads. So, there was literally no impact of the bandh in most places of the state. But, there is something very interesting here. Despite the bandh, several business establishments were open. What more? Even the Heritage Fresh shops across AP were open.

This was revealed by none other than Minister Kodali Nani. He said that Heritage Fresh, which is owned by Chandrababu's family members, too did not close the shop. He said this shows the success or otherwise of the bandh call given by the TDP. He termed the bandh a total flop. He said the people were not with the TDP and that the public at large did not support the verbal diarrhea of TDP spokesperson Pattabhi.

He justified the attacks on the TDP offices and said that the people would react much in the same way if their beloved leader YS Jagan was attacked in abusive language. He said the TDP has no ideas to fight the YSRCP and was hence resorting to street fights. He said the people of the state will teach a lesson to the TDP.
