It's been six long years since the much talked about mysterious death of Indian-Fijian woman Monika Chetty took place. However, the government and police have failed to crack the case.
All the efforts put in by the Australian investigators and the government went in vain as no breakthrough took place in the case so far. The mysterious case created quite a sensation.
As the latest development in the case, the New South Wales government has announced a whopping reward of $ 500,000 for those who can provide information in the case.
Looking at the case, 39-year-old Monika Chetty was found with chemical burns on her face and body near Sydney's West Hoxton in January 2014. She was shifted to Liverpool hospital for treatment.
Despite, the extensive treatment she received, Monika Chetty breathed her last breath on January 31, 2014. She fought for her life for nearly one month. The cops started the investigation in this case and no breakthrough took place sadly.
Monika Chetty's family members who are waiting for justice are hoping that at least with the reward, people who might have information to help the investigators crack the case will come forward to speak.
