Ex-BJP leader Satrughan Shotgun Sinha Goes To Pakisthan!

The title in itself reflects the irony of how a politician changes with the party and the situation, they are in. Even if it is someone like Shatrughan Sinha, there is no exception to this rule.

In 2019, Shotgun Sinha changed his affiliation to Congress even though he won Lok Sabha contest in 2009 and 2014, as BJP contestant from Patna Sahib, Bihar.

He became a Minister under Atal Bihari Vajpayee government and he did not get any such posts under Narendra Modi. He lost in elections but he is with Congress at present.

As BJP politically looking to gain on anti-Pakisthan sentiment, Congress leaders seem to be taking pro-Pakisthan and peace stand. Satrughan Sinha visited Lahore Pakisthan and met, President Dr. Arif Alvi there.

President of Pakistan's office shared about this meeting on their official Twitter account. The official member who is handling the Twitter account wrote,

"Indian politician Shatrughan Sinha met President Dr. Arif Alvi in Lahore today. They discussed the importance of building peace bridges across the border. Mr. @ShatruganSinha endorsed concern of the President about the lockdown of occupied Kashmir for more than 200 days. "

Satrughan Sinha visted Pakistan to attend Mian Ahmed's wedding, grandson of Mian Ehsan, Pakistan film pioneer.

"Mian Ahmed is the worthy grandson of the most celebrated filmmaker & pioneers of Pakistan film industry #MianEhsan. This is purely a personal visit nothing official, nor political about it. The Eshan family have visited us several times in the past & the last time for my son"

In the morning, the actor gave clarity about the meeting in his multiple tweets thread. He wrote,

"It was a pleasant surprise that we received an invite from the H.E. the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, on the last day of our stay at Lahore..that too just before the marriage reception of our family friend Mr. Asad Ehsan's son Ahmed Asad. We were very touched by this

gesture of the President of Pakistan and we reciprocated it with love, warmth, thanksgiving and an attitude of gratitude. I had attended the Honorable President's son's wedding a few years back in Karachi so I have known the family very well. It was a great meeting of minds

where the Honorable President's wife also joined in. Great gesture indeed! Though the meeting lasted for quite some time, it was purely social, personal and purely a courtesy call to give profound regards. We discussed so many things on social and cultural issues but no politics

was discussed. Nothing political or official about it. My friends, well-wishers and supporters and of course the media should realize that one shouldn't discuss the politics or policies of countries on foreign soil when one isn't competent, qualified & authorized by the Govt. "

He stated that he did not involve himself in any political discussion while Pakisthan's President said that they discussed about POK issue. Who is telling the truth, here?
