Ex-Minister Aadi Meets JP Nadda, To Ditch TDP!

Mon Aug 19 2019 13:54:21 GMT+0530 (IST)

Former Minister Adinarayana Reddy met BJP Working President JP Nadda. This development has given strength to the reports that he would be ditching TDP anytime soon.

JP Nadda is a crucial member of BJP's Central Committee. Meeting such a key leader is the last thing Adinarayana Reddy could do before saying goodbye to the TDP.

In 2014 Polls, Adinarayana Reddy was elected as Jammalamadugu MLA on YCP Ticket. He, however, migrated to TDP within few years and joined the TDP Cabinet as well. Ahead of 2019 Elections, Chandrababu Naidu brought arch-rivals Adinarayana Reddy and Ramasubba Reddy together. Still, None of these two leaders were able to achieve victory in their respective constituencies (Jammalamadugu Assembly, Kadapa Lok Sabha).

It's never gonna be easy for someone like Adinarayana Reddy to survive for the next 5 years without the support of BJP due to the domination of YCP in Kadapa. He might be trying to be in the safe zone by becoming a member of the Saffron Party.
