The farmers who have been protesting against the controversial agricultural bills introduced by the union government called for a tractor rally today on the occasion of Republic Day.However, the protests of the farmers took a violent turn with some of the farmers allegedly attacked the police personnel during the protests. These incidents have raised many eyebrows.

Out of the violent incidents, one visual has grabbed the attention of the netizens and they are slamming the supporters of the farmers who are terming these protests as peaceful protests.Violent and disturbing visuals of a farmer with a sword and other armor rushing towards the police personnel were recorded which are going viral on social media. In other visual, farmers can be seen attacking a city bus.

Noted author Anand Ranganathan took to microblogging site Twitter to share the violent visuals of a farmer threatening the police personnel with a sword. He blamed the Congress party and those who have supported the farmers' agitation.

"If anything untoward happens, let it be known: the Congress and all those who wanted these farm reforms but fomented anarchy because Modi realised them, will have blood on their hands," Anand Ranganathan's tweet reads.

In another disturbing incident, a farmer who took part in the protest at the ITO junction today has passed away. The incident added fuel to the tussle between the farmers and cops.The farmers and farmer unions are alleging that the farmer lost his life after the cops opened fire and attributed the incident to the cops. They have staged a protest against the gun firing and the life lost.
