The ongoing pandemic has resulted in many sporting events to get either suspended or postponed for a while. Even the 2020 Olympic Games also got postponed with the situations getting worse day day day.

As a result, Japanese fencer Ryo Miyake turned food delivery guy and has been working with the Uber Eats so that he can earn extra money as well as maintain his fitness.

The fencer who won silver at the 2012 London Olympics asked his sponsors to not sponsor him until the Games are permitted to go ahead as he is not interested to keep a burden on the sponsors in this tough time.

With the lockout measures, gyms were also closed across Japan which forced the fencer to focus on his fitness as well as making more money and he opted for the food delivery job.

Miyake earns around 2,000 yen per day which translates to $18.60 for his delivers and the fencer termed this as a good opportunity to make utilize his free time who is eagerly waiting to hit the stadiums very soon.
