Few hours before wedding groom died hanging himself

Sandeep (24) is the son of retired lecturer Nkkerty Srinivaschari and Padmaja Rani, Sandeep's mother died in his childhood. Sandeep grew up with his grand father Jageshwara Rao after his father married another woman. Sandeep, who studied up to BTech, got engaged to a young girl from Boinpalli in April.
The incident occurred even as guests from the families of both the bridegroom and the bride were waiting for the ceremony to begin. When the bridegroom, who was alone in a room for the make-up, did not come out, his relatives repeatedly knocked at the door. As there was no response, they broke open the door to find Sandeep hanging from the ceiling fan.
Police are investigating whether Sandeep's suicide was the main cause of his grandfather's death or anything else. Pet Basheerabad CI Mahesh said more things could be revealed after the Sandeep phone is opened. At the wedding venue, the police had registered a case of suicide.
