Fire Mishap At Covid Hospital Leaves 13 Patients Dead!

A massive fire broke out at a hospital dedicated to treating Covid-19 patients in Maharashtra during the early hours of Friday. The incident has killed not less than 13 patients reportedly.
The horrific incident took place at the Vijay Vallabh Covid care hospital in Virar of Palghar district in Maharashtra.
As per the media reports, the fire broke out at around 3.15 am at the Intensive Care Unit(ICU), which got spread to the entire building. Nearly 90 patients are undergoing treatment at the facility reportedly.
The authorities swung into action and called for help to save the victims. The District Disaster Control Cell reached the spot and started a rescue operation to vacate the patients. The remaining patients were shifted to a nearby facility.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray offered his condolences to the kin of the victims and announced a probe to look into the matter. The CMO announced the same.
