First Big Step in demand to make Hindupur Headquarters!

The controversy surrounding the districts reorganization decision had kickstarted a political controversy in Andhra Pradesh. The way the districts were made gave birth to a lot of objections and issues and more and more demands are coming seeking the changes to the names of the new districts.
But the protests against the emergence of new districts took a big turn when the political outfits decided to go for a oneday bundh in the Hindupur constituency. The opposition parties have come under one roof to bundh the constituency for one day as a bid to protest the decisions media reports said.
The main reason behind calling a bundh is taking the demand making Hindupur the headquarters of the Sri Sathya Sai district. The alleged bundh had made it to the headlines as it is the big step in the protest on making Hindupur the district headquarters.
Media reports also said that Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna also took part in the bundh and the common people who want their region to be the headquarters actively took part in the protest. The bunch is said to have done without any issues.
With Hindupur taking the first big step in the protest compared to other regions on their demands we have to see if the other regions will also take a leaf from Hindupur and fight for their demands.
Objections are coming from people of Vijayawada and Machilipatnam. While a section of people from Vijayawada want the district to be named after Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga fans of Akkineni Nageswara Rao want Machilipatnan district to be named after the legendary actor.
