The shore city Visakhapatnam is famous for its beautiful locations and scenarios that makes it the best place for the film City. Considering all these points, the process of developing Vizag as a major film hub has been going on for ages.
However, these efforts got a major boost with the Andhra Pradesh government announcing Vizag as the executive capital. Though the issue of making Vizag the executive capital, the government is not leaving any stone unturned to develop the city that suits the needs and demand of the film industry.
Adding fuel to the demand of turning Vizag as the film hub, senior actor Jogi Naidu famous for his anchoring skills has approached with the request to set up a film academy in the historic Andhra University.
It has been widely reported that Jogi Naidu met Prasada Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University and submitted to him an memorandum on setting up a film academy there.
According to the reports, Jogi Naidu has gathered support from various circles in the industry before meeting the VC in this regard.
The main agenda behind setting up the film academy in AU is to offer training for the aspiring actors and other technicians so that they will be provided with a big platform to fulfil their dreams.
However there is no official confirmation on the development and the formal announcement from the Andhra University and Jogi Naidu are awaited.
