Ayodhya: On Republic Day, UPSCWB Members Formally Launch Mosque Project

On the eve of Republic Day, the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board (UPSCWB) which is taking care of the construction of the Mosque has started the Dhannipur project on Tuesday formally.

The members of the UPSCWB have hoisted the national flag at five-acre land, the land allocated by the Supreme Court for the construction of the mosque. Saplings were planted at the site.

The project of constructing a mosque named Dhannipur project, includes the construction of the hospital, museum, library, community kitchen, Indo-Islamic Cultural Research Centre, and Publication House along with the mosque.

Talking about the idea of planting the saplings at the construction site, Athar Hussain, spokesperson for Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) said it's a good idea to start the project on this day.

The members of UPSCWB have hoisted the tricolor at the construction site at 8:30 AM. After the flag hosting, they have planted the saplings as part of the plantation drive in the green area.

Back on November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court has allotted 5-acres of land to UPSCWB while giving its verdict on the Ayodhya Ram Mandir dispute. The Disputed land was allotted for the construction of the Ram temple.
