Andhra Pradesh, which witnessed a dip in fresh cases of the ongoing pandemic for a couple of days reported as many as 7,822 fresh infections. With this, the total cases mounted to 1,66,586.
The health bulletin issued by the Health Department stated that a total of 45,516 samples were tested for the virus and 7,822 fresh infections were reported.
On the other hand, 63 people succumbed to the dreaded virus in the past 24 hours, which takes the toll of the total casualties in connection with the virus in the state to 1,534.
Talking about the recoveries of the disease, the state added 5,786 fresh recoveries and the total recoveries zoomed to 88,672, while the active cases stood at 76,377.
East Godavari, Kurnool, Krishna, and Guntur turned out as the worst-affected regions in the state with the virus outbreak. These districts account for around 60% of the total cases in the state.
