Future Bleak For AAP In Delhi?
X
If the exit polls are any indication, it would be a major disappointment for Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Admi Party. All the exit polls are predicting that his party may not win even a single MP seat from Delhi, where it is in power. To rub salt into its wounds, some surveys are predicting that Congress may win one seat in Delhi.

For the Aam Admi Party, this will be the second term without an MP from Delhi. Last time, it had five MPs from Punjab, but this time around the party is out of reckoning in Punjab also. This means, the Lok Sabha may not have even a single MP. This is not just a disappointment, but also a serious loss of face for the party. This could have serious repercussions on the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, who will have to face the assembly elections later this year. Already former AAP leaders like Prashant Bhushan, Kapil Mishra and Kumar Vishwas are gunning for him and there is dissidence against him. There are also reports that several of his MLAs might ditch the party and fight as BJP candidates in the upcoming assembly elections.

To add to his woes, the Muslim voters of Delhi appear to have completely deserted the AAP and have gone back to the Congress. If the same trend continues and there is no alliance with the Congress in the Assembly elections, AAP might lose the Delhi assembly also. So, troubling times ahead for Arvind Kejriwal!!
