Sensational director SS Rajamouli who is credited for starting the Pan-India trend took us into his cinematic world with the magnum opus Bahubali series. The world expanded further with the current sensation RRR. The SS Rajamouli's directorial offered a visual wonder complemented by high-octane action sequences.

After winning many hearts and applauses in India, RRR reached the global stage. Western audiences and big personalities were impressed with the magnum opus and RRR was nominated for a prestigious Hollywood award. No other Indian film was nominated in the 'Best Picture' category for the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) Awards.

The high-ticket film which showed two of the celebrated Telugu freedom fighters gained international recognition and fell short of winning the prestigious award. Despite getting the credit of becoming the first Indian film to get nominated, RRR ended up as the runner-up in the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) Awards.

Through the official Twitter handle, the organizers of the awards said that RRR was declared the runner-up, and the American absurdist comedy-drama film 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' was selected as the winner. "And the winner of the HCA Midseason Award for Best Picture goes to…Everything Everywhere All At Once Runner up: RRR," the tweet reads.

The Pan-India film not winning the award is a bit sad. However, there is nothing to feel bad about as the film showed the world the potential of Indian cinema. When we talk about the VFX, RRR is on par with Hollywood films.

The potential of RRR is that it competed with ten films including successful franchises like DC Comics's The Batman, Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick, and the historic film The Northman, and got second place in the awards. The awards should be seen as a proud moment for the Indian film industry.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, the big-budget film RRR stars Young Tiger NTR and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan, who essayed the roles of legendary freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju respectively. Alia Bhatt and Olivia Moriss played the leading ladies in the Pan-India film. RRR tells us the fictional story of the two respected revolutionaries.
