Former Minister, TDP MLA Ganta Srinivas Rao who is not active in politics in the recent times appeared from nowhere are spoke about the government's decision to abolish the Legislative Council.

The former Minister has come down severely on the AP government on this bold move.

"If they would wait for some time they might have get a majority. This decision will be a loss for YSRCP. TDP did not pressure the Council Chairman. There is a majority for TDP in the Council. The ruling party failed to guess this. We don't know when the select committee will complete the work. Capital shifting is not that easy. Even the courts are warning. As the public of Vizag, we are with declaring Vishakapatnam as capital. Party has another decision. We told this to Chandrababu long back," Ganta said.

Ganta went on to say that Jagan is doing this for the sake of satisfying his ego and not for the sake of the public of the state. He said that when it's not advisable to have the Council in the state then why late YS Rajasekhar Reddy has revived the upper house in spite of facing so many issues and problems.

From the time resolution was passed the opposition TDP leaders have started to foul cry on the situation in the state and over the Legislative Council as there is no majority for them in the Assembly. Council is the only house that has got a majority for the TDP.
