The novel coronavirus is spreading at dangerous rates across the world. The Worldwide coronavirus cases have crossed 40 million mark on Monday. The total case tally stands at 4,02,78,207 including 3,01,12,204 recovered cases. Of these, 11,18,321 people have died as of now.

The United States continues to be in the top of the list with 83,87,799 cases, followed by India with 75,48,238 cases. Brazil (52,35,344), Russia (13,99,334) and Argentina (9,89,680) are in the next positions respectively.

According to data, it took just 32 days to go from 30 million global cases to 40 million, while it took 38 days to get from 20 to 30 million. Cases between 10 and 20 million were reported in 44 days. In another grim milestone, global cases recorded more than 400,000 for the first time late on Friday, making it a record single-day spike.
