The Centre's decision to sell 100 percent stake of Air India, the opposition has lashed out at the government over the decision. In an interesting turn of events, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy too joined the list to counter the BJP party.

The MP took to Twitter to share his dissatisfaction over his move and even termed the government's decision as "anti-national".The MP went to say that he was forced to move the court.

"Air India disinvestment process restarts today. THIS DEAL IS WHOLLY ANTI NATIONAL and I WILL FORCED TO GO TO COURT. WE CANNOT SELL OUR FAMILY SILVER (sic)," the MPs Tweet read.

Following the government's idea, Congress leader Kapil Sibal has come down severely on the government. He addressed the media on the blunt mistake of the government.

"When governments don't have money this is what they do. Govt of India has no money, growth is less than 5% and millions of rupees outstanding under MNREGA. This is what they will do, sell all the valuable assets we have," he said.

The Centre has announced that a 100 percent stake in Air India will be sold which is in deep debt.

Air India and the Air India Express which are in the debts of Rs 60,074 crore will be sold for Rs 23,286 crore reportedly. The balance amount which is around Rs 27,000 crore will be absorbed by the Centre.
