The paper leakage row had hit the state Public Commission in Telangana. After the news broke out tense situations erupted in the capital city Hyderabad with aspirants hitting the road demanding justice. A few accused are arrested by the cops and the investigation found that they leaked the paper for a woman allegedly.

The aspirants who gave their best for preparation are not happy with the leak and held protests saying that they want justice. The issue also took a political turn with the ruling party and opposition parties blaming each other. The opposition parties are also holding protests calling for a detailed probe.

Amid this, the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) decided to cancel the Group-1 prelims, AEE, and DEO exams. The body issued a press release saying the same. The exam was held on Oct 16 for 503 posts. More than 25,000 people were selected for the mains. After canceling the exams, the TSPSC said that the new exam would be held on June 11th.

However, the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) did not say when it will conduct the AEE and DAO exams. The decision can be seen as a temporary stop to the protests around the exam paper leakage row.

The paper peak scam came to light when the Assistant Engineers exam was held. When the issue was probed it was found that five papers might have been leaked. Following this, the Town Planning, Motor Vehicle Inspector, and Groundwater exams were postponed.

The decision was taken at a special meeting held today. In the wake of the Special Investigation Team(SIT) report and the Commission's internal inquiry, it was decided to cancel the exams. The Public Commissionalso said that the dates of other examinations would be announced shortly.

On the other hand, protests gripped the state against the Exam Paper Leak. The protests were held at various places in the state and nine people were arrested in connection with this. YS Sharmila, chief of YSRTP was house arrested, while Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar was arrested as per the media reports.
