H-1B Tech Workers Banned From Federal Government Contracts

The US gave a big jolt to Indian IT professionals. US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order on Monday that bans technology workers on H-1B visas in federal government contracts. As per the order, the Federal agencies prioritise hiring American workers and not people on an H-1B visa.
With the president running behind Democrat Joe Biden in polls ahead of November's election, Trump's move would showcase actions to support jobs.
"Today I am signing an executive order to ensure that the federal government lives by a very simple rule, higher American," said Trump.
Donald Trump says the decision was made to provide job and employment opportunities for his country's citizens. In the current situation where the coronavirus has spread vastly, the US citizens have lost a large number of employment opportunities. More than two and half billion American youth have lost their jobs during these three months.
