Has Huzurabad Become Less Important For TRS?
X
Has the TRS lost its interest in Huzurabad bypoll? It appears so. Firstly, KCR has focused more on programmes like meeting Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and completing Yadadri works. He has not talked about the bypolls, which are politically very critical for the TRS. He is no longer talking about Dalit Bandhu and other flagship schemes.

At the same time, party's working president KTR has no plan to visit Huzurabad, though he too belongs to the same undivided Karimnagar district. He is more focused on holding the organisational elections and working on the 20th anniversary of the party. He too is sending enough indications that Huzurabad bypoll is not very important.

Barely five days ahead of the Huzurabad bypoll, the TRS has organised the election to the post of the TRS party president. Though it is a mere formality, the party is spending a lot of time and energy on the issue of organisational elections. What does this indicate, ask party-watchers. Some analysts claim that KCR may pass the baton to KTR to allow him two year time to form his own team and then take over the reins of the government after2023.

Highly placed sources indicate that there would be massive changes in the party orgainisational structure before the Huzurabad byplls. Hence, Huzurabad result has become less important. It also indicates that the TRS now feels that Rajender has better chances in Huzurabad than the party candidate.
