Has KCR himself taken control of Munugode campaign?

It is now reliably learnt KCR himself has taken control of the campaign for the Munugode bypoll. Unlike the earlier bypolls in Huzurnagar, Nagarjuna Sagar and Huzurabad, where leaders like Harish Rao were given the responsibility, KCR has decided to take over the TRS campaign in the bypoll. He is believed to be monitoring the campaign in Munugode.

KCR is said to be holding regular briefings with the incharge ministers, MLAs and other local leaders and is monitoring the progress of the campaign. There are 159 villages under the Munugode constituency and KCR has asked the incharges to conduct extensive padayatras in these villages. He has also asked them to conduct meetings with well-wishers and supporters in each village.

KCR is said to be very particular that the party should win in Munugode. He is upset by defeats in both Dubbak and Huzurabad. In both the places, the BJP has defeated the TRS. He wants to ensure that in Munugode, the TRS wins and redeems its prestige. Hence, he is said to be particular about the way the campaign is going on in the constituency.

Meanwhile, the TRS has almost decided on the candidature of Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy. KCR himself is said to be directing the efforts aimed at mollifying those who aspired for the ticket and are upset at Reddy getting it. Several BC leaders like Karne Prabhakar and Boora Narsaiah Goud have been asked to fall in line and campaign for Reddy. KCR wants to ensure that there are no hassles in the party’s preparation for the Munugode bypolls.
