Hindu Player Divided Pakistani Cricketers

An ex-cricketer has now divided Pakistani cricketers so deeply that they are now fighting among themselves. As India has gone into a heated debate over the Citizenship Amendment Bill and the issue of discrimination against the Hindus is being discussed, former cricketer Shoeb Akhtar dropped a bombshell when he said that former leg spinner Danish Kaneria was discriminated against by his colleagues in Pakistani team. He said some Muslim players even refused to dine with him. Danish himself endorsed Shoeb's comments and indicated that he was indeed discriminated against.

This has set off a storm in Pakistan. Former cricket captain Injamam-ul-Haque slammed Shoeb Akthar's comments and added that Danish was never discriminated against. He was treated like any other player. He said Danish had played several matches under his captaincy and he had never complained. Another former player Javed Miandad, who is also a close relative of Dawood Ibrahim, too targeted Danish Kaneria and called him a traitor.

Even as this debate was going on, the plight of another former player Mohammad Yousuf has also come to light. Yousuf, who was originally a Christian and was popular by the name Yousuf Yohana, got converted to Islam. This was said to be under duress and mainly to protect his cricketing career. So, Modi's CCA is clearly affecting Pakistan and its cricket too.
