Newly appointed white-ball skipper Hitman Rohit Sharma who missed the South Africa tour with his injury underwent fitness training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and worked hard to regain his fitness. His fitness training at the facility had yielded a fruitful outcome.

He had regained his fitness and even passed the fitness test. This says that Rohit Sharma might join the Indian squad for the upcoming series against West Indies. The selection team will call for a meeting to pick the Indian squad that will lock horns with the West Indies.

As the selection committee and Head Coach Rahul Dravid will finalize the squad for the forthcoming series, we can expect the comeback of Rohit Sharma as the skipper of the team.

If Rohit Sharma is taken into the team as the skipper, then the upcoming series will mark the maiden series of Rohit Sharma as the full-time white-ball skipper.

After he developed an injury, Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the South Africa series. His space as the ODI skipper was filled by stylish player KL Rahul. However, KL Rahul added a poor record to his name by losing the series as a whitewash.

India is all set to lock horns with West Indies for an ODI and T20 series. West Indies will tour India next month for the series.
