The Andhra Pradesh budget session started on an interesting note. A YCP rebel MLA sat along with the opposition Telugu Desam Party leaders. As another big development, the opposition party leaders started a protest saying that the ruling party is pushing the state towards a financial crisis. Following this, the opposition party leaders were suspended.

Amid this, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rejendranath tabled the Budget in the house for 2023-24 with Rs 2,79,279 crores. While the Revenue Expenditure is 2,28,540 crores, the Capital Expenditure is 31,061 crores.

If we look at the budget allocations, the Minister allocated funds to every key sector for agriculture, education, and skill development. Besides this, the welfare schemes got a major chunk of allotments. The flagship schemes got allotments in the budget that was tabled in the house.
