How Amaravatis Missed Chance Helped HMDA?

The pearl city of Hyderabad is adding more and more attractions to it which is in turn increasing tourism. Be it the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge or night park at the necklace road. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority(HMDA) is doing a good job in this. The Body became the largest Urban Development Authority in the country.

Though the good work of HMDA helped achieve it, the lack of progress in Amaravati played a big role in this. Telangana IT Minister KTR said this. The Cabinet Minister said that no activity is happening in Amaravati and Hyderabad is the biggest Urban Development Authority in the country.

KTR's comments at the event tell us what Amaravati has lost. If the development work would have been continued there then the region would be the largest Urban Development authority. Compared to the HMDA limits, Amaravati is a larger area.

Andhra Pradesh was divided without a proper capital city. The previous government led by Telugu Desam Party proposed Amaravati as the capital and started development there. A few constructions were done and the land was polled in big numbers.

But the status quo in Amaravati changed with the change of power in Andhra Pradesh. The YSRCP government proposed three capitals and the Amaravati idea had gone for a toss.

It's been four years since YCP came to power. Not much development happened there. The farmers who gave land to the capital are fighting for sole capital for the state. Coming back to the comments made by KTR, they tell how Amaravati's missed chances helped HMDA.
