Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar disclosed how the Seva Mitra App of Telugu Desam Party has been used to know about the political inclinations of the public in AP.

During the press meet held on Wednesday, Anjani Kumar told: 'Dasarath Ramireddy filed a complaint in SR Nagar Police Station on March 3rd against IT Grid Company. IT Grid hired many Surveyors in India. The Questionnaire includes which party voter supports, personal information such as Aadhaar, Phone Number and Community, Village-level & Booth-level details. Booked case under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B on IT Grid based on the complaint. Recorded the statement of the Complainant. Yet to find out the Main Conspirator in the Data Theft Case. We are investigating from all the angles. Four Teams in Hyd City has been working on this case. Names of Kandula Ramesh, Kandula Nagamani (hailing from Vijayawada) and Venugopal Reddy (hailing from Chittoor), who are living in Hyderabad, went missing in the voter list. We booked a case as both Complainant and Victim are from Hyderabad'.

Modus Operandi of IT Grid Company - 'IT Grid Representatives makes calls to the Voters and collect information based on the Questionnaire. Then, A field-level enquiry will be conducted by the TDP Booth Level Seva Mitra Convenor to collect Aadhaar, Mobile Number, Community and other details of the voter. The information gathered will be passed to the IT Grid. Thereafter, IT Grid will start analysing the data and pass it on to the TDP Key Person. Falsifying the Voter Info, TDP Key Person will forward it to the Officer who prepares Voter List with the intention to remove Anti-TDP Votes'.

Anjani Kumar informed 3 Servers of IT Grid went missing and Ethical Hackers are unable to find hard disks of 7 computers seized in IT Grid Company during the raid. Cops suspect IT Grid MD Ashok might have taken them away.

Cyberabad Police wrote letters to Election Commission, UIDAI and AP Government, sent a note to Amazon regarding the Data Theft Case. AP IT Secretary was asked to inform how the public data was leaked to a private company.
